Welcome to Wakeboard San Diego. We encourage local riders to enjoy the waters of San Diego and promote the sport of wakeboarding by providing free, yes FREE, wakeboarding clinics throughout the year.

As summer is right around the corner, this is our best time to wakeboard. Fewer boats in Mission Bay translates into smoother water, and believe it or not, butter. Water temperatures are rising to the mid 60's, wetsuits and appropriate gear are recommended. If you don't have one, you can use one of ours. So, if you are interested in riding while the water is desirable, send an email to ride@wakeboardsandiego.com or call 619-807-2005.

Mission Bay
East Mission Bay is open for wakeboarding sunrise to sunset. West Mission Bay(Sail Bay)
is open for wakeboarding sunrise to sunset. Starting May 1st, 5mph 11am to 5pm.

San Vicente Reservoir: Rules
On water contact only days at San Vicente (Saturday and Sunday), during summer, all visitors pay the day use fee. Each boat also needs a private boat use permit which is $5.00. All permits are available from lake staff.

El Capitan Reservoir: Rules
El Capitan offers skiing and wakeboarding during the winter months (November through April) on Sundays only. The North Arm is open to water contact on Sundays.

Click to see The Weekly Wake Blind Ski Community Outreach Program and 2008 Summer Wakeboarding Clinics. Thoughout the summer of 2008, The San Diego Mission Bay Boat and Ski club and Wakeboard San Diego are facilitating this event located at Hidden Anchorage at Fiesta Island. During the morning, both groups will be helping the Blind Community to learn how to ski. In the afternoon, WBSD will provide FREE wakeboarding clinics to the general public.
